06 Oct WHERE DOES ROYAL JELLY COME FROM?
Royal jelly or Bee jelly is a honeybee secretion that is used in the nutrition of larvae and adult queens. It’s secreted from the glands in the hypopharynx of the nurse be and is fed to all larvae in the colony regardless of sex or caste. In the process of creating a new queen bee the workers construct special queen cells. The larvae in these cells are fed with copious amounts of royal jelly. This type of feeding triggers the development of queen morphology including fully developed ovaries needed to lay eggs.
Based on that information alone we need to sit up and notice that there must be something very special in queen bee food that humans can benefit from. Evidence from many scientific studies is being put forward showing how Bee Jelly can be used for a variety of diseases, disorders and infections.
The quality of Bee jelly is based on the environment bees live in, meaning that if a colony of bees live close to a garden with alluring flowers flaunting their colour and aroma, honeybees will be drawn to it. Flowers like Poppies, Lilacs, Honeysuckle Lantana and Snapdragons to name but a few will do the job perfectly. We are very fortunate in Australian to have an abundance of gardens and gardeners who know what our bees like, making it a perfect grazing field in our suburbs as well as out in the native landscape for our Australian Honeybees.
It is rumoured that Bee jelly can help with fertility in women. A study performed on mice found that royal jelly increased the oestrogen in their ovaries and promoted growth of the follicles. While in male mice royal jelly increased sperm count, maturation, motility, and plasma testosterone levels. Furthermore it caused decreased DNA damage which could be due to the fact that royal jelly mainly includes proteins, sugars, lipids vitamins and free amino acids.
Scientific evidence shows that Bee jelly may enhance your body’s natural immune response to fight bacteria as well as viruses. The fatty acids in royal jelly are not evident in any other natural product. Royal jelly is truly unique!
Scientific studies being carried out right now are showing that royal jelly may be hold the answer to eliminating Covid-19.
