How to use Propolis Manuka honey and Bee Pollen in your kitchen

We are buzzing with excitement over the amazing power of Propolis, Manuka honey and Bee Pollen….in fact we are buzzing over everything these little critters (bees) do.

Don’t take our word for it; it’s actually documented in many scientific studies.  These studies show that the human molecular structure right down to our cells and DNA benefit from bee derived products.

Bee Pollen is regarded as one of the world’s most complete foods, it contains nearly all the nutrients you need, from essential amino acids to fatty acids to vitamins and potent antioxidants It assists your body to adapt to physical and emotional stress.  This super food improves the immune system and energy levels and can boost fat metabolism.

We have talked a lot about the benefits of bee products so I felt today you guys might want to know how to incorporate them onto your diet and in fact into your family’s diet.  And why wouldn’t you now that you know the many health benefits.

Scoop two teaspoons of fresh bee pollen into your favorite smoothie, have it with yogurt, as a topping over your porridge, cereals, and toast.  Garnish it over your cheesecakes, cupcakes and muffins.  Throw it into your home made protein bars and protein balls.  You can even use it in savory recipes like salads and salad dressings combining it with herbs and spices.

For better nutrition absorption, it’s recommend using it raw in your recipes, as heat can destroy some vitamins and enzymes.  Better still if you let the fresh bee pollen grains soak in liquids like yogurt or juices etc they will crack and release more nutrients.

DRESSING FOR SALADS.

  • 1 cup of olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon of Propolis oil
  • 1/3 cup of apple cider vinegar
  • ¼ cup Manuka Honey
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
  • 2 cloves of garlic crushed

Whisk all ingredients to combine.  Pour over your favorite salad just before serving.

A little on Manuka Honey! New Zealand is trying to claim Manuka honey just as France has claimed Champagne.

Regardless of this outcome Manuka honey is possibly the most beneficial form of honey in the world.  This is due to its antibacterial properties and healing possibilities.

Some of the most common aches and pains can be eased by this amazing nectar.  It will help with healing sore throats, help with sleep at night, relieve skin infections, while possible easing the symptoms of digestive illnesses. I personally suffer from dry gritty eyes….it has been a God send for my problem! (I don’t use manuka honey out of the jar as such…I use “Opti Mel” which contains manuka honey.

Manuka honey comes with a hefty price tag but it’s worth it!  While cheaper honey tastes just as good they won’t come with the anti-bacterial properties and provide the healing benefits found in Manuka!
